Gal Ferreira (Glauce Ferreira) - Brazilian Fitness Model

Gal Ferreira by Pedro Nossol - http://www.pedronossol.com.br/

This beautiful and built young lady is Brazilian IFBB Pro Gal Ferreira.
Gal started out at the age of six in ballet, then moved into gymnastics.

She graduated in 1998 from the Federal University of Minas Gerais with a degree in Physical Education, and works as a personal trainer.
Her hobbies include ballet, soccer, African dance, gymnastics and aerobics.

Gal is also married to legendary bodybuilder Dorian Yates.

I know she has been in competitions in other countries (she won the IFBB South American Bodyfitness and IFBB World Bodyfitness Championships), but the only US competition I can find is the 2008 IFBB Arnold Classic Bodybuilding, Fitness And Figure Contest where she came in 9th place.

Tanya Merryman-Female Fitness Competitor

Photo: Rick Dobbins, http://www.myspace.com/pdpfit

Female fitness competitor and figure competitor Tanya Merryman was one of the first women I profiled here on this blog.
That was back in June of 2007.
Actually I did my first entry on her on my Beautiful Women blog back in February of 2007.
But where a lot of fitness models fade away, Tanya has come back stronger than ever.

Tanya won the Fitness America Pageant title back in 1998.
And even though she has taken time off in the past, she is coming back like gangbusters now.
Even though for the moment she is sidelined with a ACL injury according to her blog.

Recent Contest History:

2007 NPC National Championships, 1st place

2008 IFBB Arnold Classic Bodybuilding, Fitness And Figure Contest, 12th place

2008 IFBB 15th Annual Sports/Fitness Weekend & Europa IFBB Super Show, 11th place

2008 IFBB Tournament of Champions Pro Figure, 10th place

2009 IFBB California State Pro Figure Championships, 15th place

Fitness Model, Cassandra Hope

This beautiful young lady is fitness model Cassandra Hope.

Cassandra is from Toronto, Ontario, Canada ( I still say they are doing some kind of genetic engineering up there).
She is 5'4 and weighs 125.
I think she is gorgeous, but to compete (and she does) she may have to get a bit more ripped to get the judge's attention.
I don't think she has any trouble getting attention from anyone else though.

Cassandra doesn't have her personal site up yet, but you can find out more about her at her ModelMayhem.com page here:

Monica Brant, Fitness Legend?

It's been a while since we've had a Monica Brant entry, so I though we were overdue.
This lady has creds that go from a win at the 1991 Fitness USA Preliminary, to placing 7th at the 2007 Figure Olympia.
And unlike a lot of other female fitness models from the 90's, she hasn't disappeared.
Her website, http://www.monicabrant.com/, is still active and growing.
Is it too early to apply the term " fitness legend"?

Mari Kudla-Donnelly

Mari Kudla-Donnelly was born November 26, 1979, in North Royalton, Ohio
She went from gymnastics to weight training to fitness competitions.
Mari is also a wife, mother, personal trainer, fitness model, and spokeswoman!
For more info see her website here:
www.marikudla.com/

Margo Napoli

This is probably my favorite fitness model of all time, Margo Napoli.
She lacked the bulk of some models, but she was lean, ripped and cut up.
Margo left fitness modeling though I dont see why.
I think she could be even more popular today.

Malia Peah

Beautiful Fitness Model, Malia Peah.
As with the "curse of the fitness models", I can't seem to find any info on this lady.

More Trish Stratus

Of all the women featured here, ex WWE Diva Trish Stratus is one of the most popular.
Trish has moved on after the WWE, staying very busy.....
She hosted the Canada's Walk of Fame induction ceremony, kissed Pamela Anderson, was in the CBS reality show Armed & Famous, hosted The Second City's Next Comedy Legend, opened a yoga studio in North Toronto called Stratusphere Yoga in 2008 and this Fall will have her own travel show also called Stratusphere.

Lisa Marie Bickels

Lisa Marie Bickels is a bodybuilder, fitness model AND Marine!
There is no such thing as an ex-Marine.
You can check out her website here:

Feed Shark

Kristie Alvarado

Kristie Alvarado

This ripped and cut lady is married to IFBB superstar, Shawn Ray.
They have two children, Asia Monet and Bella Blu.
I'd watch out, with their genetic background, those kids were born to excel!

Fitness Competitor: Kim Peterson

Another fitness competitor from the 90's, Kim Peterson.

Fitness Model: Kim Paul

If you were ever on usenet, or looked at a fitness magazine in the 90's, you remember Kim Paul.
She was everywhere.
Kim was a big favorite of the fitness model fans. She looked somewhere inbetween a fitness model and a centerfold.

Fitness Model: Kim Koelbel

Fitness Model: Kim Koelbel

This beautiful fitness model is still around.
Now if I'm not mistaken, this is the same Kim that runs http://www.kimrx.com/.
If so, she's a brunette now, which in my opinion makes her look even more striking.

Kim Egler

Kim Egler is a fitness model who worked with Playboy in the mid-1990s.
She was also pretty popular on Usenet about then, when she did Muscle and Fitness and Muscle Mag.
